The immigration Department (Vietnam Ministry of Public Security and Foreign Ministry) issues over 1 mill pre-arranged evisa or other online visa every year. The number of applicants is increasing steadily.
This visa type is not process nor issued by the Embassy. Hence, some misunderstand that the embassy will handle this kind of evisas.
The Immigration Department continually introduce different evisa or online visa.In February 2017, a new evisa* was introduced for certain eligible countries. Making the visa process more easier for country regarded as “safe” or with bilateral agreement .
Since 2017, the most used online visa are; Visa on arrival, evisa* and visa (code) at embassy, emergency visa on arrival.
These are pre-arranged visa, opposite of traditional visa processing at local foreign diplomatic missions, i.e. Embassies.
The Immigration department is closed for normal processing of Vietnam visas. Please apply early and correct.
The Vietnamese immigration introduced pre-arraned online visa on arrival first in 1998, but it was early 2002 that it really works 100%. We started our services local since then, together with other travel services.
